Schill, careful with using a descriptive like "slaughter". You know where I stand on this whole military intervention, but I really feel this is totally tragic yet totally predictable in "the fog of war".
Our boys are trying to protect themselves and stay alive. This incident has to be investigated before we jump to any hardline conclusions.
Having said that, you realize the enemy has been fighting as would be expected, using all the stops, including engaging innocents to use as shields and combatants. Tough situation for our troops and we know they sure don't intend to kill women and children. The fault here lies in who put them there and the misguided decision-making that led to it.
